[REVIEW] : Mary&May Shine Bright Like A Diamond

Another South Korean beauty brand, Mary & May’s ingredients from Stylekorean! Mary & May is an honest, clean beauty skincare brand that contains only safe and clean ingredients. Always grateful to be selected as part of this campaign. Well, to be honest, I have never heard of this brand at all and totally a new thing for me. I didn't expect this range of products can be so awesome! 

Mary & May’s ingredients are free from 16 harmful ingredients that can cause skin troubles and irritations. As you know recently out there there are a lot of products and skincare that use harmful ingredients in ingredients that may eventually cause more damage to our skin. 

I have learned to watch out for the product details whenever I shop for my skincare. This brand immediately reminds me of a brand called The Ordinary. Not sure if you guys heard it before. It is known as the reasonable skincare range and it is actually quite famous in Asia. I'm excited as usual when unboxing a parcel from Stylekorean. 

Today I'll be revealing these 4 products that I received. Those who read my reviews previously, you guys should know I'm actually belonged to oily and acne-prone skin since young, even until now I'm in my mid-age. My skin was way too sensitive and irritated easily whenever I tested new skincare. Although I belong to the oily skin type, someday, my skin just turned out really dry and I can see its peeling. No matter how much of a sheet mask I slammed on my face, it just didn't help at all.

So, let's get started on the review. My reviews are based on my personal experiences, opinions, and skin condition. I have tested for a good 12 days before I drop my review here in my blog.

Niacinamide + Chaenomeles Sinensis Serum 30ml

I started off with their serum which is really my top 1 among all the products sent! Arghhhhh I have been a fan of Niacinamide(vitamin B3) since 2 years ago. I have very dull skin and super oily skin. I've been tested a few brands out there with Niacinamide and to be honest, I'm not really satisfied with it because i don't see any significant results on my skin at all. Some are either too high % in the ingredients and eventually cause more damage to my skin. And yea, I basically stop for a while until Stylekorean sent this item! I was like ...... ** scream in excitement**. Niacinamide helps blocks melanin from moving and keep skin tone clear and clean, at the same time helping reduce skin trouble by balancing sebum activity. Not only that the serum is also mixed with 93% Chaenomeles Sinensis Fruit which is rich in vitamin C and flavonoid tannin. It makes the skin texture supple and smooth, and of course, brightens skin tone as well. The texture is not very runny and slightly concentrated, but I guess this is how suppose a serum looks like right? To me, I personally love the scent and not overpowering. It has a mild citrus scent and kind of refreshing to me after I applied it to my skin. Basically, their packing is nothing fancy at all as you can see. Just a very basic bottle with detailed information and it comes with a pump. I love how the products are actually vegan which means no animal was killed or tested during the production and testing! And yes, most importantly no fragrance! The price is quite reasonable and doesn't cost me a hole in the pocket! I have used it for about 12 days now, I would see a slight brightening on my skin but not obvious. I would rate this product as 4/5.

How to use:

- Apply an appropriate amount thoroughly onto the face and neck, then gently smooth for better absorption.

- Recommend applying the lotion after using skin or toner. applied this 2 times in a day, morning and evening.

[Mary&May] Niacinamide Vitamin C Brightening Mask (30ea)

Comes to this mask, which is my top 2 favourite of all. I am a queen of mask if you know me. I applied mask almost every night before I sleep. I have tested many different kind of masks in my life. And I personally dont like mask pack and those mask in 1 box. Reason why is because they dry up really quick and not much essence being absorbed in each of the sheet mask. This mask is something really blow my mind. One of the first mask that I tested with Niacinanide. It comes with 30 pieces in a box like this. To my surprise, its totally out of my expectation. The sheet mask is actually moisture enough to nourish my skin! I just leave it for about 15mins and its done! Super fast and convenient. The box of mask actually came with a tweezer too which I really glad to say that! Meaning I dont need to poke my finger to pick on the mask anymore. Such an innovation though! The mask contains vitamin C with 10000pm , yeah in a way for brightening! Woohoooooo and I never seen a mask comes with Vit C and Niacinanide at the same time and also hyaluronic acid. No introduction needed for hyaluronic acid as we all know this acid is super for their moisturizing function! Oh yeaaaaa, and also Mary and May mask contains safe ingredient with EWG green grade. This mask totally up to my liking! I used it for 12 days now and I couldn't see it brightens my skin but definitely more on hydrating! I used to have a dry patch on my forehead, but each time after the mask application. Its gone on the next day! In terms of packing, I wouldn't say much because it is simple and loaded with informations. Totally happy with it. For a pack of 30 pieces, i think the price is really affordable. How to use:

1. Cleanse skin and apply toner
2. Open the lid of the container and remove protective cap
3. Remove a sheet mask with the mini pinset provided with the product
4. Apply sheet mask to your face and leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes. Allow the essence to absorb into the skin 
5. Tap the remaining essence into the skin 
6. Normally I make a quick rinse on my mask as I dont like the essence on my skin although it is not sticky. (personally preferences)

[Mary&May] Tranexamic Acid+ Glutathione Eye Cream 30ml

I'm a person that super lazy to apply any eye cream. But as I aged, wrinkles start to appear and I wash like hackkkk, I will not allow this to continue, or else when I reach the 50s I will be full of wrinkles and crow feet. And thanks again StyleKorean for sending me this eye cream, my savior! I started to apply as soon as I receive my parcel on the same day. My very first time hearing this ingredient called Tranexamic Acid and Glutathione. Well, let me have a brief on this acid. The statement below I quoted somewhere online.

In skincare, tranexamic acid is primarily used as an ingredient that helps brighten dark spots and improve pigmentation. “Tranexamic acid slows the production of melanin by inhibiting a pathway known as the plasminogen/plasmin pathway.

Glutathione reduces oxidative stress in the body to improve your overall complexion. With glutathione treatments, you can see: Overall lighter, brighter skin tone. Even skin tone with reduced dark spots.

From their packing, they are all same simple to me. Nothing fancy and important details are there too. It came in a tube form and was easy to squeeze out. A very sleek tube was definitely very easy to keep in my toiletries pouch. When squeezed out, it is thick white cream in colour. It doesn't have any smell or I would say very mild scent. A little bit of heavy for my liking. After using for about 2 weeks, i still don't see any obvious results yet as of today. But noticed that my under eyes doesn't feel dry but my dark circles still here. Opssss. Because I used to have a very patchy surface on my eyes due to constant rubbing. Lol. Such a bad habit I know! If I were to rate, probably 3/5 stars only.

How to use:

Take an appropriate amount of this product and apply evenly to the skin around the eyes and areas where blemishes are a concern. I normally used it twice a day. Day and night with a small pump and its sufficient for both side of eyes.

Mary&May] Idebenone + Blackberry Complex Intensive Total Care Cream 70ml

As I mentioned before, there is never too late to start using anti aging skincare. Start early before you regrets ok! This powerful intense moisturizing cream is rich with 63% Blackberry Complex, 500ppm Idebenone and 5 types of ceramide all of which aim to provide deep moisturization up to 10 layers of keratin, retain moisture within your skin up to 48 hours to strengthen your skin barrier and visibly reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Yeahh, i definitely need it for my age now with my mid 30s. Opsssss, I started to have a few fine lines on my forehead and cheek area whenever I laugh or so, I could see lines along my cheek bone! You know what I mean? This cream actually have a few key ingredients that really helped on anti aging:

• Idebenone: a potent antioxidant that helps diminish appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, reduce dryness and improves skin texture
• Blackberry: rich in anthocyanins that help the skin fight against the damage caused by free radicles, slowing down the process of aging
• Ceramide: helps lock in moisture to create a healthy skin barrier
• Phytospingosine: a type of fat that naturally occurs in skin cells that helps support the skin barrier function. It also has antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties

Some of you may have heard of it, some of you dont. There's a special ingredients that I see it for the first time too such as the Idebenone and Phytospingosine. Okay, long story short. I would highlight that this product is too heavy for my skin. I dare not apply a thick layer as I'm afraid it will clogged up my skin or so due to I have an oily skin and acne prone skin. I'm worry that it will cause me breakouts. So I applied only at night for a good 10 nights. On the 3rd day itself, I had a small acne pop on my cheek, well my skin react quite fact whenever my skin doesn't suitable for the product. But I continue to use until the day 10 for a results before my review. Personally, I would say it is a very good product if you have a dry skin. But a big No if you're oily skin. The texture is very thick to me and i could feel a thick layer of residue on top of my skin, which i don't feel comfortable with it. As you know, weather in Malaysia is super hot and we sweat so often and my face just so oily. Also the downside of the cream is in tub form, I dislike the fact that I need to poke in my finger to dig out the cream and its not hygiene at all although it provided spatula. But still I prefer it to be in tube form. The bottle is also another simple tub with information on it. I would say that it is a good buy and it probably will last for a good 4 months due to 70gm! As for me, I personally concluded that this product not up to my likings and 3/5 stars given.

How to use:

Take an appropriate amount of cream and gently massage the cream into your skin. Don't forget your neck area which is often neglected!
