[Review] All Day Vitamin Kit with Jumiso - My Skincare Journey

Hello dearest readers! Thank you for reading my skincare review journey with me. I had a new discovery that I would love to share it will all of you. Does anyone of you heard of this brand called Jumiso (주미소). It is actually a direct translation from Korean which means “give smiles to their customers”. Literally means that with the words 주 (ju), to give; and 미소 (miso), smile The meaning behind this brand simply so thoughtful and friendly. They even had a smiley face sticker pasted on the box when I reached my parcel. Immediately put a smile on my face though as I do my unboxing. Maybe some of you might not heard of this brand before as this is considered quite new in the market rather than those mature Korean brands out there. This brand is actually a subsidiary of the Kbeauty brand called Helloskin and the design of their products are more on the adorable theme. No doubt, all their products are full manufactured in Korea and the best thing are their products are cruelty-free and vegan friendly! I always prefer skin care products that are vegan!

The very first product that I would love to share is their signature Jumiso All Day Vitamin Clean and Mild Facial Cleanser that just launched in January last year, this is seriously one of the best discovery last year. I never thought that I would be able to find another better gentle facial foam with salicylic acid. Due to my acne-prone skin, I constantly seek for skincare that contains salicylic acid. This Jumiso mild cleanser just came in on time for me! This cleanser has a pretty low PH level with pH 5.5 to Ph 6.5 which helps to maintain a healthy skin condition and moisturizing too. This means our skin won’t get stripped off its natural oils after cleansing. If you noticed some of the facial cleansers that will make your skin feeling tight and tingling after that is not really a good cleanser (based on personal experience). The feeling of “squeaky clean” is just a myth that your skin is fully cleansed. Even though this cleanser does contain salicylic acid, but it is mild enough for all skin types and not just focus on people with oily and acne-prone skin. Salicylic acid helps in deep cleans pores and exfoliates the skin.

My thoughts : 

This facial cleanser is a gel type and foaming cleanser but I didn’t find it to be overly foamy. It was just enough to cleanse my whole face. I would not classify it as soap-free too because it does foam up when you whisk it with water. As I opened the cap of the cleanser, there is a citrus scent which I quite enjoyed it but if you’re sensitive to fruity fragrances then you might not like it because it’s kind of strong for me. I used it every day in the morning and evening and it worked well for my oily skin. I personally don’t usually wear a ton of make-up so this cleanser is good enough to wash away all my light makeup and feeling so clean at the same time! I constantly have acne pop here and there, but after using this cleanser, I could see my acnes reduced and controlled well.

[Jumiso] All Day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing Facial Serum 30ml

The second product I tried from Jumiso is their All-day Vitamin Brightening & Balancing serum, one of the products that I really looking forward to trying it out myself. I have read a lot of good reviews and how people rave about it. Thanks to Stylekorean Global, now I got the chance to try it out myself! The bottle was such appealing and I’m dying for it. LOL. This vegan-friendly serum contains 86.14% vitamin tree extract and a niacinamide content of 20,000ppm. Oh wait, before I go in further, do you know what is Niacinamide all about? This is one of the powerful ingredients in skincare products. This ingredient is also known as Vitamin B3 which helps to improve uneven skin tone, enlarged pores, fine lines, and dullness. I did a lot of research for Niacinamide and how it works on my problematic skin and if you’re like me and still learning about all of the ingredients and what they do, you might find this interesting. Not only your body, but your skin also need Vitamin C as well. It is known for reducing free radicals and fighting the signs of aging. As I’m approaching my 30s, I need to add serum in my skincare routine though. This serum is meant for all skin types too as it contains the vitamins A, B, D, E, and K as well as vitamin C. If you have dull and uneven skin like me, consider to add vitamin C too, it definitely helps your skin to look better and healthier balanced skin.

How To Use: 

Apply 3-4 drops to the face after cleansing and toner in the morning and night routine. If used twice daily, the 30ml bottle would probably last a bit over a month.

My thoughts:

Jumiso actually recommends using this serum twice a day for better results. I tend to keep my morning skincare routine pretty simple and light than at night time. So, I basically use this serum only at night before I off to bed. You can use it twice a day, of course, it really depends on your skin type and how much you understand your skin. Oh ya, I put on my serum only after my masking session. About the texture, this is a runny serum, super light-weight at the same time and very nourishing. It spreads easily and is absorbed quickly into my skin without leaving any sticky residue behind. It left my face glowing upon application, but without feeling oily. This serum comes in a 30ml dropper bottle. I love serums that come in a proper dropper which is easier for to apply and more hygienic as well. Also, the Jumiso serum does not have an overpowering smell, in fact, the smell was pretty mild so still acceptable for me. It just like shoved a couple of orange slices up my nose. I am being totally honest here when I say that the first thing I noticed on my face when using this was the instant bright glow this serum gave me. I mean there are some products with which you see results after gradual use or over time. But this is exceptional and I’m totally SOLD by this serum!

Lastly is one of my top list favorite wash-off masks by Jumiso. Needless to say, this is also another vegan-friendly and cruelty-free mask! I really need to rave about this mask. Totally no regrets and I even purchased an extra tub for myself! This literally my second tub now. This is pretty similar to the brand: Fresh Beauty. But in comparison to the price, this is much more reasonable and it worked the same way for me! Each tub was 100ml and the orange color tub just so appealing again for me. I don’t know why but I’m just a sucker when it comes to packaging. The aesthetics of this are just honestly so pleasing. The Jumiso All Day Nourishing and Recharging Wash-Off Mask was created to repair rough and dull skin, with the help of 15 vitamin compounds, fresh lemon peel extract, and a so-called “vitamin barrier”. Jumiso products generally suitable for all skin types and it doesn’t matter if you have oily, dry acne skin, you still can use this mask. I normally use this mask when I had a very bad skin day or when I exposed to too many of outdoor activities. My skin tends to look dull and tanned after sun exposure. So this wash-off mask is the savior! You can use this mask after washing your face and leave it for about 15 minutes.

How to use:

Use the mask after cleansing and toning. Apply the mask onto wet face and gently spread an adequate amount onto the skin avoiding eye and mouth areas. Rinse off after 10 - 15 minutes with lukewarm water. *There may be a temporary stinging sensation while using this mask, this is normal and can be due to hyper moisturization of dry skin or evaporation of the mask.

My thoughts:

The texture of the mask is like a gel and jelly, but not exactly jelly that hard for us to apply on skin. In fact, it does stick on my fingers as I applied it to my skin. But best to apply it via spatula to keep the mask clean and free from bacteria from our fingers. The best thing about this mask is there are a cooling sensation and effect on your skin. Although it is like a jelly texture it does rinse off very well without leaving any residue on your face. No extra effort needed to scrub off the mask on your face. Another thing that I could feel my face was less oily the next morning and I see that glow on my cheek and tighten pores too! In terms of fragrance, it is almost similar to the serum and cleanser. Just smells like a squeezed orange/lemon on your face. It does not overpowering or causes any irritations on my skin. I would suggest using this mask thrice a week is sufficient to keep your skin healthy and glowy! I do recommend that you try it, and might as well try the whole Jumiso Vitamin line, if you feel like it, too.
