[REVIEW] Noni Energy Kit with Celimax - Skincare Regime

About Celimax brand

The brand actually took the name from both words of “cell” and “climax,” and cosmeceutical brand celimax ensures its products are made with well-researched formulas and absorb into skin with enhanced efficacy. Celimax is a Korean skincare brand that focus on transparency. By seeing their design, it was pretty simple and straight forward. It is user friendly cosmetics with clean ingredients. And all their products are 100% made in Korea. To be honest, I am not familiar with this brand at all and this is the first time I heard from Stylekorean. Once again thanks to Stylekorean and Celimax for for this great opportunity of having me in this review sharing journey. Keep reading to know more about their products and brand. Today I will be sharing my thoughts for four products from Celimax, they are:

What is Noni? 

It is actually a type of fruit/ plant that are full with nutritious facts. Noni plant literally look like soursop to me, but they are not the same though. Noni juice is used to reduce total cholesterol and triglyceride. to reduce chronic pain, painful inflammation and swelling (root extract), to treat diabetes (chewing leaves releases and activates soluble dietary fiber), slows absorption of simple sugars from gut; to treat parasitic infections and many more benefits to our body. But how it benefits to our skin? Noni is a rich source of nutrients including Vitamin C, A, flavonoids, potassium, linoleic and amino acids, which are known for improving skin tone and elasticity. Noni is also a rich source of phytonutrients known to boost the skin's natural process of repairing collagen. These are some of the information I got it from the net. I was extremely excited to try out their Noni Energy Ampoule looks so perfect for my troubled skin. So, keep reading and follow me!

Consistency: Lotion consistency, not very runny 

Scent: Smells like herb and tea tree

This ampoule claims to be ideal for people with dry and aging skin. Since I’m approaching my 30s, so I guess this is for me as well. Its never too early to take good care of your skin. I really wish I could have more time to pamper my skin before its too late. Noni extract has an antioxidant agent that helps in skin healing and rejuvenating the skin call. Not only that it does contain adenosine which is a skin-restoring and soothing agent that helps in reducing wrinkles. I had acnes pop up quite often and I seriously need this bottle of savior to sooth my skin! This ampule contains 71.77% noni extract and noni seed oil. 0.04 % adenosine and rosemary oil as well. I personally haven’t eaten noni fruits yet in my entire life but I would love to try it one day.

Adenosine - Soothes and restores the surface of the skin. Helps diminish fine lines and wrinkles, improving skin texture.

How to use:

After cleansing and toning, apply a full dropper amount onto the face. Gently spread and press it into your skin until well absorbed and follow with your usual skincare regimen.

My thoughts:

It came in a matte finish and cloudy sturdy plastic bottle with 30ml of ampoule in it. It came with a dropper as well that suck the product automatically when you open the bottle. It is quite lightweight actually and does absorb into the skin easily leaving the skin supple and hydrated. The ampoule smells like a mint/ herbal which felt refreshing and is not overwhelming. It actually really helps in calming the mood and gives a relaxing feeling. If you are a make-up person, you can consider layer it under makeup easily without worrying about the greasiness. It absorbs into the skin easily and does not feel sticky at all. After using it for about a week I have seen that my skin looks more supple and redness reduced too from my acne scar. If your skin does not mind essential oils, you will surely like it. My skin does react to certain essential oils but this does not irritate or cause any acne so far. This noni ampule actually helps in healing my skin and strengthen the skin barrier. I used to prick my acnes very often and leave me a deep dark scar on my cheeks. Although it mentioned deal for dry and aging skin, but I think every skin type can use it especially the troubled and dull skin will love this noni ampule. I highly recommend it to the combination and oily skin as well because it is very lightweight and helps in moisturizing the skin. I am totally in love with this ampule and I’m so excited to try out the rest of the products!

[celimax] Noni Moisture Balancing Toner 150ml 

Toner is consider one of the important step for me after cleansing. Have you ever rub off your wash with a piece of cotton and the cotton actually turned brownish. It was gross though. Yes, it is how dirty our face even we cleansed it properly. So I will never ever skipped toner in my routine. I followed Naomi’s in Instagram and watched her video how she did the demo for this toner totally excites me and I just cant wait to try it myself. This toner is considered lightweight with low pH level, just so nice for people with sensitive skin like me. I no longer use any face scrub for now and purely use this toner as my exfoliator only. It contains 80.1% Noni fruit extract and 0.1ppm of Noni seed oil. These two key ingredients provides sufficient moisture and help to soothe and nourish the skin. It also has 5% Amino acid complex (17 amino acids with similar components). The amino acid complex also helps in strengthening the moisture barrier to keep the skin hydrated. It also helps in improving the skin texture and some of the acids have anti-aging properties.

How to use:

Apply an appropriate amount onto skin using hands or cotton pads and pat gently for better absorption. Add a generous amount to cotton pads and apply directly onto dry areas for 3-5 minutes for better moisturizing effect. 

My thoughts:

This is also actually one of my favorite product in the set too. I quite fine the smell, its not something in floral or fruity scent. In fact its more on herbs and minty kind of scent. I simply loved the smell and it gives a soothing feeling upon application. The texture is more on runny water-like texture which is easy to absorb into our skin. The good thing is it doesn’t feel sticky at all. Totally up to my liking! Since it had exfoliating properties, it helped improve my skin texture and the pores around my cheeks seemed to be barely visible. I highly recommended this toner if you have troubled skin like me. You will loved it! Trust me.

A quick introduction for this magical repair cream. I called it magical because it literally repaired my broken skin. This Noni cream contains about 57% of Noni fruit extract and seed oil. The ingredients are almost similar like their toner and they even have the same claims which helps to soothe the skin and strengthen skin barrier. If you have dry skin, this cream is ideal for you too. It also contains other key ingredient like ceramide that helps to strengthen the skin barrier and retain moisture. Products containing ceramides often give the skin a smoother and firmer feeling. Some other notable ingredients will be shown under this post.

Noni (Morinda Citrifolia) Fruit Extract (55%) - A world-renowned superfood, this fruit extract boasts over 300 types of nutrients including vitamins, minerals, and amino acids. Antioxidants provide anti-aging benefits and improve dull skin tone. 

Ceramides - Strengthens the skin barrier and helps prevent water loss from the skin. 

Adenosine - A KFDA-certified ingredient for anti-aging benefits, Adenosine works to soothe and restore the surface of the skin while helping to diminish fine lines and wrinkles to improve skin texture.

How to use:

As the last step to your skincare regime, take an appropriate amount* on the face, and gently press the face with your palms for better absorption. 

*A pea-sized amount is enough for daily skincare. 

Extra tip: On days when your skin is particularly irritated, use the cream as a sleeping pack by applying 3-4 times more than your regular daily amount to experience calmed and soothed skin the next morning. 

My thoughts:

I simply adore the texture of this cream. It melts into skin as claimed and absorb pretty quick almost immediately. Too bad I had oily skin, this cream is good in repairing and soothing skin. But my face tends to turn oily very fast and somehow make me feel slightly sticky and oily which I don’t really like it. This cream is totally fragrance-free and still smells nice! It has a minty light green in color and some kind of tea-tree herb smell. As this cream contains shea butter so it may not be suitable for extremely oily skin. Personally, I don’t really like this cream so much.

Here comes the last product I would love to share you all of you. It is their cica calming ampoule mask! Cica is a very powerful ingredients for healing troubled skin, and currently I’m using toner that contains of cica too. This facial mask helps in moisturizing the skin and rejuvenate as well! I’m a big fans of sheet mask and I literally apply facial mask daily and never skipped! It has 71.77% noni fruit extract from the noni ampoule. It also has ceramide and some other ingredients that almost the same like the Noni ampoule. Basically, this Noni range products most of them have antioxidant, moisturizing and soothing properties. 

KEY INGREDIENTS Cica (75%) Complex - A three-component complex derived from Centella Asiatica that includes Centella Asiatica Extract, Centella Asiatica Leaf Extract, and Madecassoside. Soothes and heals skin irritations and helps oil control. 

3-Hyaluronic Acid Complex - Three types of Hyaluronic Acids provide moisture to skin and repair damaged skin's moisture barrier.

How to use:

On a clean face, center the sheet mask and smooth it over the face. Leave it on for 10-20 minutes. After removing the mask, gently pat in the remaining essence. Follow up with a light moisturizer of choice (depending on your skin type and need). 

My thoughts: 

First of all, the packaging itself is really simple and nothing fancy. I like how this brand being so minimalist in their packaging design. The mask is literally soaked with a generous amount of ampoule. It soaks up enough essence to transfer onto the skin. However, this made the mask quite difficult to uncover but still acceptable for me. Need to be extra cautious. It actually smells the same like the ampoule. I leave my mask on for about 15minutes, the shape of the mask is fitting as well as the cut near the mouth and nose area. I absolutely love how it leaves a cool sensation on the skin. I gave my skin a quick rinse with water after masking. I don’t feel sticky actually, somehow I prefer to rinse off the extra essence that sit on my skin surface. I highly recommend this mask for all skin types!
